Found solitary or in small groups in leaf litter — by birch or other deciduous trees.
One had a somewhat flattened yellowish-brown cap and was slightly bitten.
It had a cream stem and volva.

The others had conical, orange-brown caps, which faded to yellowish-brown.
They had white stems with pinkish-buff volvas and no rings.
