I spotted these two fungi a twig, attached together by a thick white thread.

The base of the stems were white and spiky, fading quickly to curry-yellow with occasional white speckles.

The domed caps were the same orange colour, growing darker slightly near the centre.

The gills were buff-yellow and attached, with and incurled, yellow cap edge.

The flesh was solid and dark curry-yellow.
