These small, sessile sporangia grew on twigs and moss in a damp, boggy area.
They were bright yellow and sometimes merged into a larger mass of spores.
The cusps of the sporangia were honey-comb-like structures which were presumably the base out of which the spores left.
Some seemed to be parasitised by a white mould – perhaps the same kind we saw on Day 4 – Stilbella byssiseda.
