On a large log left of the Basecamp entrance, there was a large colony of this slime-mould.

They were buff to brown at their tips with black stems, and grew in separate clumps.

Some blackened, while other were white – perhaps moudly.

The next day (31 September 2023), they hadn’t changed much.
