I found these growing in two locations: off rotting, mossy Birch and Hazel wood.
On Day 2, I spotted another, more mature group:
These fungi were growing on rotting log piles in small clusters.
They had brownish-orange, ovate caps, which faded to cream at their edges.
The stems were pale yellow.
