The Enclosed Area
DATE FOUND:
Day 16 – 18 November 2023
In a pile of decaying leaves, twigs and branches, I found a few tiny Sarcoscypha fungi.
I had seen large clusters of these fungi last year in late Winter to early Spring, but I didn’t realise they began to sprout so early.

By Day 19 they had grown considerably larger.

I found more groups on the right just after the Enclosed Area on Day 20.
