Dripping off a suspended twig, this almost fully formed aethalium grew under a canopy of holly and other trees.

On Day 6 (09 September) the aethalium had become paler and was disintegrating.

On Day 7 (16 September) the aethalium and spore mass had more or less disintegrated.
