On the side of a birch log, this was going into a spore mass from the inside.

On Day 4 (26 August 2023) the white aethalium was disintegrating more to reveal more of the dark brown spore mass.

On Day 5 (03 September 2023) the aethalium had mostly gone.

On Day 6 (09 September 2023) there was not much of the white stuff left.
