This grew solitarily in the grass of the Basecamp railway path and had a cap covered in reddish-brown to orange-brown scales.
The stem was fibrous and white all the way to the flared, skirt-like annulus; underneath this, it was scaly and orange-brown.
It had very fine, close, white gills.
