These, though variable, typically had yellow centres fading to a beige cap with a white edge.

Along this wavy, pleated edge could be remains of the universal veil.

The cap itself had a rubbery texture, and underneath lay cream gills, browning a little with age.

These could have been free gills along a hollow stem.

Stems were white, and they were found in clusters in a large trooping group near, but not on, large rotting logs.
