Today the weather was wet and drizzly, with the rain gradually increasing till it was pouring.
CAR PARK AND ENTRANCE AREA
At the junction of Low Road and Tinkers’ Lane leading up to the Fen, I saw some Tricholoma sulphureum (Fig. 6.0).
After entering the reserve, I found a Lepista nuda (Fig. 6.1), more Stropharia and the same irregular white fungi – Tricholoma album – from previous visits.
I also found a spiky pink fungus — a species of Armillaria — also found throughout the woodland.
BASECAMP AREA
Near Basecamp, I spotted the slime mould Trichia decipiens (Fig. 6.2) and also its juvenile white form on the same log.
From previous weeks, I saw: the clustered Cortinarius from week five, the Tricholomopsis rutilans, the Peziza and the Laccaria laccata troop.
At Basecamp, I spotted Coprinellus micaceus (Fig. 6.3) by the log circle.
THE DELL
In The Dell, I found a small coprinoid species (Fig. 6.4), a trooping white Mycena species with witch’s-hat caps (Fig. 6.5) and Russula ochroleuca (Fig. 6.6),
I also saw the usual Xylaria hypoxylon and Mycena rosea.

On the woodland trail I saw Typhula fistulosa (Fig. 6.10), some Russula dissimulans (Fig. 6.11) and a cluster of Auricularia auricula on the same log from previous weeks.
