Throughout the damp forest in groups.
This possible Paxillus involutus was funnel-like and had a moist orangey- brown cap, dipped in the middle, with decurrent light brown gills.
They were clustered and trooping throughout the damp forest.
The cap was up to 35mm across and the pinky brown stem was 10–20mm thick and 50mm tall.
Day 3 – 01 October 2022
These large fungi had a very dipped brown apex with reddish-white flesh and a dark beige cap. Some had little grooves at the edge, and some had bumps at the centre instead of a dip.
They had light brown, decurrent gills fading into a grainy white stem.
