This fungus had a pale yellow cap, fading to light sulphur-yellow at the edge, with similarly coloured flesh.

The stem was a darker orange-yellow and fibrous, and the fungus smelt distinctly of hyacinth.

It had darker gills, and grew in a small group in leaf litter.
