In grassland by oak.
Found by oak in grassland, these conically shaped fungi were brightish orange and in a medium-sized clustered group.
The gills were white and the lighter coloured apex surrounded by a deep orange ‘ring’, which then returned to lighter orange all the way to mottled grey edge.
The stems were white or sometimes orangey and fibrous looking on the older specimens.
